The harvest festival in our school was celebrated by decorating our lobby with flowers, mango leaves and beautiful rangolis. Wearing a traditional outfit gave a vibrant look to the atmosphere and the occasion was kick started by setting up a fire pit to cook Pongal, designing our Pongal pot and propping up sugar canes.  To thank God for all his goodness and mercies the ceremony was inaugurated by lighting the firewood. As the milk came up to the brim of the pot, we cooed 'Pongal o Pongal' to express oneness. Sweet Pongal was distributed to all the teachers and management staff followed by the cultural program. Students marked this occasion by participating in various competitions like pot painting, cooking Pongal and designing rangoli on theme disaster management. Students enjoyed the Pongal celebration and exchanged their greetings to one another to have a greater fortune in the year ahead.
