The 78th Independence Day of India and Raksha bandhan was celebrated with great patriotism and enthusiasm at Acharya Mahashraman Terapanth Jain public school Madhavaram on 15th August 2024. The ceremony commenced with the majestic hoisting of the national flag by our esteemed Chief Guest, Mr A. Shanmugam retired Superintendent of Customs and GST, SNCO Indian Airforce.
The celebrations began with the Prayer song and a beautiful verse from the Bhagwath Gita. Our esteemed Chief Guest Mr. A Shanmugam and Guest of honour Mr. Vijay kumar Sethia, Managing trustee of Jain Terapanth welfare trust delivered a stirring speech, emphasizing the significance of independence and the importance of upholding the values of freedom, unity, and responsibility.
The victors of sports day-group games received their medals and certificates from the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour. The students showcased their talent through a mesmerizing array of cultural performances and captivating dance on integrity in which the dancers tied rakhis to the students who were dressed as army men to show the gratitude towards the brave men who protects our nation. To express the special bond between brothers and sisters, our teachers tied Rakhis to the dignitaries. The Independence Day and Raksha bandhan celebrations filled the hearts of everyone with pride, joy and sense of responsibility towards the nation.
