The Child help line programme was conducted by Indian council for child welfare crew in Acharya Mahashraman Terapanth Jain Public School, Madhavaram on 1.07.2022(Friday) for classes 6 to 10.
The team explained about the child welfare help line services to the children. Through drama they introduced the child help line number 1098 to the children and asked them to use it in case of emergency.
Boys and girls were divided into two different groups and a volunteer from the child helpline addressed issues likes child abuse such as begging, child labour, child marriage and sexual abusement. They also said that the child help line number is toll free and it works 24x7.
The program started as planned and ended up with an interactive and informative session for the students. Now the students are more confident to address issue that is a threat to their safety. They have clear idea on good & bad touch and also whom to approach to open up if they are not comfortable with anyone’s approach towards them.
